A very extroverted husband approached us for a lookout from the very private single-story home he shared with his introverted wife.  They also needed a garage and A LOT of storage space.

We provided loft needed to capitalize on views to the nearby ocean and distant mountains by creating a low storage floor between the garage and lookout.  This partial floor enabled panoramic views over single-story neighbors without violating the height limit.

Nautical imagery and angles helped to lighten the very tall volume and allow it to metaphorically float above the neighborhood.
