The owners of Wheat and Water, a wood-fired pizza restaurant turned to us for architectural and permitting services after we provided concept drawings for the exterior and al fresco dining areas through the Storefront Improvement Program.
A small parking lot made achieving the required number of spaces difficult, and they were unsure how to meet ADA requirements without building an expensive ramp along the front of the patio which would also have eliminated their landscaping.
By carefully analyzing the site's cross-slope and suggesting two different angles for the parking spaces we were able to eliminate the need for a ramp while meeting all parking and ADA requirements.
